TripToad beta
How to test TripToad
Thanks for helping test TripToad. Poke around like it’s your own trip, and tell us what feels great, confusing, or broken. Even partial reports help.
Getting in
- Open the personal invite link your organizer sent you (on the device you’ll use).
- Tap Join trip, then sign in with Continue with Google (fastest) or an email + password. Apple sign-in isn’t available in this beta.
- If you signed up with email, check your inbox for a verification message, click it, then tap I’ve verified. You’ll drop straight into your trip.
- Your invite said your access level: Editor can add/edit plans; Viewer can read everything and react/comment.
Things to try
- Open the itinerary, a day, and an item.
- Add an activity or restaurant; give it a time or a note.
- Find a place on the map and add it to the trip.
- Start a planning idea (a candidate), react or comment, then add one to the day.
- Add an expense and split it with the people going; check the balances.
- If you’re an editor, invite a friend from the People drawer.
- Set your timezone/currency in your profile, and try “Download my data”.
Known limits (so you’re not surprised)
- A trip is shared like a Google Doc. Everyone on it sees everything, including each other’s email. There’s no per-item privacy.
- Receipt scanning is opt-in per expense (you tap Scan; it uses AWS Textract) and photo upload is on. See how receipt scanning handles your data.
- Some features use AI: pasting or forwarding a booking email sends its text to Anthropic to draft itinerary items, and asking TripToad to suggest a trip grouping sends your places and dates to Anthropic. Both are optional and you review the result. See the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
- Account deletion is currently a manual request, not an instant purge.
- Invite links expire after a set time and grant access to whoever opens them, so please don’t forward yours.
- Already joined but the link says it “isn’t active anymore”? You’re probably in. Open the trip from My trips.
Found something?
Tell us what you were doing, what happened, what you expected, and your device. A screenshot helps a lot.
